COVID changed the way small businesses operated and thrived. Wear Local’s funding & resources were able to raise $30,000 in our first year in business. Funding directly went to the small business community affected by the pandemic.
Local is a clothing brand that is pivoting to give back to the community with an emphasis on providing kids opportunities and resources that may otherwise be unavailable to them.
When we first started our print business 7 years ago. We did a coat drive that gave 400 jackets back to kids in the community. It opened our eyes on how quick those jackets were spoken for. The amount of families that needed items was shocking.
Covid didn’t make things easier for kids with advancements in learning. Our goal is to use what we know (clothing) as a way to give back. We want to provide supplies, clothing, and scholarships. Our internship program will be for students that want hands on experience with design, marketing, and manufacturing experience. We want to continually build the importance of a small business community.
